AMERICAN EXCELLENCE. The United States once had a reading proficiency rate of 95%. By working with the educators to see penmanship returned to the classrooms, and screening the books to ensure zero of these books break obscenity laws.
TEXTBOOKS. Jerry will work to research the text books to ensure they are academically sound. Exploring authors of the books and validating information is historically accurate. When Jerry was on the textbook committee of the State of Florida, he checked books for grammatical correctness. Had he known better, he would have seen they were beginning to augment history via the books.
READING PROFICIENCY. Book challenges need to be explored to engage the students to read more. Jerry will work to re-instate the study of great persons. The nation, and specifically Collier County needs to learn stories of character and integrity from people who have accomplished truly great things.
MATHEMATICS VS SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING. Refocusing students to logic and left-brain processes will be emphasized for the academic level of each student. Practicum classes in economics and management need to be emphasized for all students to be able to succeed within the real world outside of K-12.
HANDS ON LEARNING. Working to create vocational programs and classes. Reinstating solid physical fitness programs.
IN-CLASS OBSERVATION. Observing classrooms in person will be an emphasis of Jerry’s service to the school board. Bulletin boards, teaching plans, and student engagement need to be witnessed. Secular content will be balanced or removed. Bias and censorship will be eliminated. If omissions or cliff notes/abridged books are being utilized, original texts will be reinstated.
CULTURAL INDOCTRINATION. Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) will be removed from the classrooms. Zero pronouns external to how it is grammatically accurate to describe the student will be emphasized. Student promotion of cultural ideology will be observed and appropriate consequences will fit each offense in attempting to indoctrinate our young minds in Collier County.
MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING. The statistics are sobering. One in six children in the United States has a mental health disorder. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 24, and suicide rate among ages 10 to 24 has increased by 56 percent in two decades. In today's world, K-12 students are experiencing higher levels of anxiety, depression, and trauma than previous generations, making the need for school mental health resources more urgent than ever. There is ONE caveat: children are being chemically altered, then experiencing radiation from consistent over exposure from technology. What Jerry proposes is ON SCHOOL GROUNDS, encouraging clean water consumption, physical exercise, and nutrient dense meals in placement of inactivity and pre-packed foods. Each student will excel in school when they have 8+ hours of adequate sleep from their home. It is time the K-12 system undo SEL programming, placing emphasis on taking healthy actions versus focusing on fleeting emotions that manipulate their new and changing hormones as growing young persons.
WORKPLACE FOCUS. Within the workplace, Jerry will work with faculty and staff to eliminate labels and blue washing discussions. “Be what you are” is Jerry’s motto. Zero people need to know about a colleague's personal choices or how they choose to express themselves off of the clock. Sexual harassment, racism of any form, bigotry, and sexism will not be tolerated. We are in the Collier County School System to do our work.
PROPAGANDA. For years, LGBTQ programming books and educator propaganda has circulated within the Florida School System. Bi-products are suicide, depression, in addition to indoctrination and programming. Jerry will work to ensure this is not the persuasion of adults targeting vulnerable children with overt sexualization and exploitive posturing.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY. The budget within the school system needs to be taken apart. In 2021, over 100 million dollars was proposed for a new school system. Prior to proposing higher millage rates to Collier County citizens, additional funding channels needs to be sought to continue to enhance Collier Public Schools, Charter Schools, and homeschooled students to have every academic advantage to succeed for real life placement as the next generation leading our Great Nation.
